Reiki/ Energy Healing
About this Modality
When you receive Reiki you get an infusion of life force energy, called 'chi' or 'prana' in other cultures, which your body uses to promote healing on all levels. Our world is made entirely of energy. When this energy flows uninterrupted, there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being. By promoting optimal flow of energy within the recipient, Reiki is able to address physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual issues. The most common responses are deep, long-lasting relaxation and alleviation of physical pain, but anything is possible.“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy', and is also a word used to describe this system of natural healing. This tradition was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication. Today Reiki is one of the most rapidly growing healing modalities due to the ease with which it can be learned, and because it is an excellent form of self-care. Reiki is not affiliated with any particular belief system. Instead, many practitioners and recipients find it offers tangible support to whatever religious or spiritual beliefs they hold.
Anyone can enjoy Reiki treatments to enhance a sense of wellbeing in the course of everyday life. Reiki can also be used alongside other conventional or complementary therapies and often helps facilitate recovery from illness or injury. If you have not yet tried Reiki, schedule an appointment today.
