June is Men's Health Month!
Each week we'll be sitting down with one of our practitioners to discuss topics of interest in the health & wellness industry. Heather McCutcheon, LMT joins us this week! About Heather:
Since opening my practice in 2000, I’ve been continuously amazed at the profound physical, emotional and psychological healing I’m privileged to witness. My passions include expanding the reach of Reiki by working with underserved populations, teaching others, and challenging ineffective social systems by combining ancient healing techniques and modern technologies." What aspects of your practice do you believe relate in particular to men's health?
If Reiki Can Comfort Vets with PTSD, It Can Help You. What are three health & wellness tips that you'd recommend for men's health?
Begin to consider the health and wellbeing of your energy field as a critical element in the comfort of your body and your contentment in your life.
Begin to consider the health and wellbeing of those around you as bit players in your own experience. Schedule a Reiki session to have a tangible experience of your energetic and spiritual nature, the way you interact with the world at the most basic level. Any articles or resources that you find valuable for men's health that you'd like to share?

Reiki and PTSD, Easing the Burdens of War
By Heather McCutcheon A staggering number of American Veterans are coming home from service with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). According to the US Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), 228,875 of those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan have been diagnosed with the debilitating condition, and new cases are being recognized every day. Practitioners from a variety of healing modalities feel called to help ease their burden and are increasingly being sought out by individuals, service groups, and the VA itself. Reiki is one of the modalities receiving increased attention, as it can alleviate symptoms for the afflicted and help ease the stranglehold PTSD has on their lives. Read more here... We're so grateful to Heather for sharing this valuable information for Men's Health Month and for being a valued member of Tribe.
